Gift Inspiration

Giving a gift on 25th December is as synonymous with Christmas as a roasted dinner or a festively lit tree.  Finding the perfect gift can be challenging, so for those in need of a little inspiration I have chosen an eclectic mix of gifts for the festive season ahead.

English pewter manufacturer Lancaster and Gibbings have for some years been making Christmas decorations.  They are a joy to collect to add to your festive tree or just give to a special friend or family. I love them all!  Which one is your favourite?

There is always an occasion when a stylish pair of cufflinks is needed, so we have been busy in our workshop designing and making silver ones!  This year, we are adding another pattern to add to our collection.

I’ve included some new watch designs this year, particularly striking is Citizens Gents Tsuyosa automatic watch with its radiant sunray green dial with gold tone accents. Rotary takes inspiration from the classic design of early sports watches. I particularly like the red directional bezel which contrasts nicely with the smart black dial…..

For those who like a dram of whisky, Dartington glasses have many designs of tumblers. There are the classics such as the ‘Helix’ and ‘Dimple’ which have a good weight to them. I also find the ‘Aspect’ tumblers fun to give to all and a good price point.

If you enjoy antique collectables, this fabulous silver telescopic folding cup ticks all the boxes for me and it is in such in such good condition for its age. It was made in 1899 by London silversmiths James Bell and Louis Willmott.

Richard Cooper bronzes are always a joy to give at Christmas. I’ve chosen the limited edition ‘Lovebirds’ designed by sculptor Keith Sherwin. Notice the hidden heart amongst the foliage! There is a mini version too.

Stackers continually produce new designs for jewellery storage solutions, this season the boxes have interesting ‘Raffia’ textured lids and I like this version in black.

We always feature the gent’s range of leathers, bracelets and rings from Unique, extremely popular and constantly introducing new designs. Prices start from £35.

These striking ceramic art vases that we introduced a couple of years ago are still so different and colourful that I could not leave them out. Of the two I have chosen, one is based on Rennie Mackintosh designs and the other on Van Gogh’s sunflowers, but there are many more to collect!

For those who own automatic watches, a Wolf watch winder is a must-have accessory for any enthusiast. Young, smart and uncomplicated, the Cub takes care of your watch with ease.

I hope these gift ideas will inspire ….. Sally x
