A fabulous sapphire ring returned to glory
It was an absolute joy to work with this client on her fabulous sapphire cluster ring. We know this client and have worked with her before. To do any work to this ring required removing the large sapphire so that we could measure the gem’s size correctly.
Some beadwork on the bezel had been worn away through age and whether or not to reinstate this detail was clarified. There was also a question about making the new ring wed fit but the depth of the stone meant that the height would be significantly higher and would alter the look.
The design process used sketches, CAD and resin. The ring was made slightly deeper and more substantial for longevity reasons. It was important for us to ensure that the client understood this balance when looking at the new ring.
The design team loved working with this fabulous ring and now it has been brought back to its former glory and is a real show stopper!
