After an initial chat and as a starting point, we looked at the various designs from our ring design box. Consideration was made with regard to the cut of stones and also the engagement would be wed fit.
The devil was in the detail on this ring with reference to the colour of claws and how many. There was also a possibility that the shank off the old ring may be used as the wedding ring, as the client had small fingers.
The design process involved sketches, top and side profiles, followed by CAD then resin to make sure all details had been taken into consideration. The new ring’s shank was to be the same profile and width, in case this was to be used at a later stage.
With so much emotion and history attached to the original ring, it was paramount to achieve an engagement ring that enhanced the wonderful old cut diamonds. The couple were very happy to work with us throughout the whole design process and we hope they enjoyed working on this design as much as we did.
